If you're not supposed to use plastic containers in the microwave, how are steamer bags safe? - plastic containers for sale
There is a growing popularity in plastic bags of frozen vegetables in them that can be steamed in the microwave ... Is it safe for you? Because it is widely understood how dangerous it is to heat something in a plastic container in the microwave, why the FDA allows the sale of these pockets of steam (TV dinners, and many other species that microwave heating is required)?

I do not think everything is in the microwave plastic. The plastic starts to melt when (especially the little food left on the sides of the container) stars heat melted the container, a mixture of plastic in their food. Bags steam can not so serious, how to add water, I guess ... and are designed for use in the microwave. Why not just eat steam in a glass container with a lid or plastic wrap with holes to let in themselves, do not touch? Anything for money today!
Weather or not something is heated in the microwave depends on the characteristics of the molecular polarity. The polarity refers to the intermolecular forces between the slightly positively charged end of one molecule to the negative end of another or the same molecule. Nonpolar molecules are not heated by the microwave because it causes friction between the molecules of the waves in passing, while polar molecules.
The point I make is that most non-polar plastics such as polyethylene (PE), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), two plastic commonly used for cooking in the microwave, heated in a microwave oven.
However, if you lower the melting temperature of the plastic, PE, namely, melting heat of the food itself, a but not with food. The viscosity of the molten plastic is not low enough for surround sound, even food. Stuck in the worst food in the plastic coating to stay.
And a final point, all those plastic containers of materials that are approved by the FDA and take in your question that, unlike some people, or lookst for you.

One type of plastic, and at what frequency reuse. Some Plastics May face repeated heating and washing, some fast break from (the release of more evidence for food.)
You use a plastic that is safe to use even in the microwave for food types. If you are still uncomfortable when not in use. Either buy it, or transfer to flat glass and ceramics for the microwave.
They are safer than all other plastics for the microwave. Always open-cut mine, downloading content in a glass container and microwave it. Why the FDA has allowed the sale of them? Good question. Why does the FDA allows the sale of cigarettes? It is also about money, my friend. Big companies make big gains in plastics for microwave and life and health insurance are not only part of the equation.
Depending on the type of plastic, some plastics are microwave, others can not melt when the microwave. While steam pockets the right kind of plastic (and are) no evidence to indicate the health risks of microwaves them.
